Hi I have a the Telstra Smart modem and want to go with a VPN, is this modem able to handle a VPN ? It seems the modem in backup mode blocks PPTP and L2TP so I can’t do my work. is there a work around or firmware update to I work from home and use a VPN. So having it blocked is a big problem. the only reason I selected telstra i so I would have use of 4G Since I just purchased the best modem Telstra had, the Max 2, to run on the best network, ie NBN on cable, it seems odd and annoying to me to have to add another piece of hardware to get a simple VPN connection going.
